Mobile phones are a useful tool, but if misused, they can create a lot of trouble. Therefore, students should know how to use mobile phones responsibly. Speaking at a special program organised at Baldwin Girls' School on Friday to award certificates for Grade 10 passed out Students, KV Prabhakar, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, stressed the importance of responsible mobile phone use. He stated, "School education has become high tech, and many are addicted to mobile technology. While I don't advocate for completely avoiding mobile phones, it is crucial not to misuse them. Every day, we read about the ill effects of mobile misuse, so choose wisely and avoid improper use."

Prabhakar also highlighted the privilege of studying at Baldwin School, saying, "I believe the students here are really fortunate. Many parents aspire to send their children to this school due to the quality of education provided. Your parents have worked hard to send you to this school, and it is your duty to fulfill their dreams by being successful. Have a goal, and whichever profession you choose, strive to be a good human being and contribute positively to society. High school is a turning point in your academic career, so make thoughtful decisions."

Sharing a personal anecdote, he said, "My father wanted me to pursue ITI, but I had a passion for writing, so I chose journalism. Like APJ Abdul Kalam, who distributed newspapers, I too distributed newspapers. I have worked for two decades and have been with the CM's office for 11 years, now serving as a media advisor. My journey to success involved taking gradual steps and receiving help from many along the way. Learn to help those in need. My message to every student is-Study well, contribute positively to society, and bring pride to your school and family."

Principal Ms. Asha Margaret Das said, "This programme was successful and I thank Honorable Bishop N. L. Karkare (Chairman, Baldwin Institutions) and Madam Kamal Karkare (President) for their support."

Dr. Joshua Samuel (Sec. BMES), HR head Ms. Anitha Isaac, Vice-principal Ms. Sujatha Catherine, and  Special Guest - Dr Divya Rangenahalli Founder of Media Connect, and Lakshmi Narayan (Media Advisor for Housing Minister) were in attendance.
