APS PU City College Sports Inauguration

 Bengaluru, May 09 (Karnataka Information):

The term of office of 06 members of the Karnataka Legislative Council from 03 Graduates' and 03 Teachers' Constituencies is expiring on 21 June, 2024 due to retirement of the sitting members of Karnataka North – East Graduates  Dr. Chandrashekhar B. Patil, Karnataka South-West Graduates Aayanuru Manjunatha (Vacant w.e.f. 19.04.2023), Bangalore Graduates A. Devegowda, Karnataka South-East Teachers Dr. Y.A. Narayanaswamy (Y.A.N), Karnataka South-West Teachers S.L. Bhoje Gowda and Karnataka South Teachers Marithibbe Gowda (Vacant w.e.f. 21.03.2024).

The Commission has decided to conduct biennial election to the Karnataka Legislative Council from 03 Graduates and 03 Teachers Constituencies in accordance.

Issue of Notification is on 09th May, 2024 (Thursday), Last Date of making nominations is on 16th May, 2024 (Thursday),  Scrutiny of nominations is on 17th May, 2024 (Friday),  Last date for withdrawal of candidatures is on  20th May, 2024 (Monday),  Date of Polling is on 03rd June, 2024 (Monday), Hours of Poll is 08:00 am-04:00 pm, Counting of Votes is on  06th June, 2024 (Thursday) and  Date before which election shall be completed 12th June, 2024 (Wednesday).

The Model Code of Conduct concerning the said election will come into force with immediate effect in the concerned Constituencies.
