Governor Gehlot Commends Narayan Seva Sansthan for Empowering the Disabled in Limb Distribution Camp

Bangalore, 19th March 2023 - Narayan Seva Sansthan organized a Limb Distribution Camp in Bangalore today, which was graced by the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot. The camp was aimed at fitting artificial hands and feet to 555 differently-abled persons of Karnataka to give them a new lease of life.



In his address to the gathering, the Governor lauded the efforts of Narayan Seva Sansthan Udaipur in providing a new lease of life to disabled persons by fitting them with artificial hands and feet. He acknowledged the institute's contribution towards creating an inclusive society and empowering the disabled.


Highlighting the government's efforts towards creating an inclusive society, the Governor said, "Disabled people are an integral part of human resources, and our aim is to make them partners in the development of the country by connecting them with the mainstream of society. The government is working tirelessly towards realizing the mantra of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' under the efficient leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister of our country."

The Government of India has made ten Guinness World Records for working in the field of disability, and many voluntary organizations and the corporate world are also working towards empowering the Divyangjans. Narayan Seva Sansthan is one such organization that is dedicatedly working towards this cause.

Under the Accessible India Campaign, the Government has made many buildings, all airports, and websites of the Government of India and State Government accessible to the visually impaired. Under the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) scheme of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India, smart phones, digiplayer and accessories like walking stick and smart cane are being made available to the visually impaired.

Narayan Seva Sansthan is committed to serving humanity, and it is providing mobile, computer, and tailoring training to the Divyangjans to make them self-dependent.

The Governor concluded his address by emphasizing the need to uplift the weaker, poor, and disabled and bring them into the mainstream of society.
