38 lakh jobs to be created in Karnataka in next five years: CM Bommai

 PM inaugurates IIT, Dharwad

Dharwad, March. 12:Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said there is a big strength of the Government of India behind the creation of 33 Lakh jobs with 13 lakh jobs per year in Karnataka in the  last five years.



Speaking at the inauguration of IIT, Hubballi-Dharwad Smart City project and other development works in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated here on Sunday, Karnataka has the minimum unemployment problem. While the eyes of the politicians will be on the next election, the eyes of the stateman will be on the next generation. The PM is one such stateman who has a vision for which he helped in establishing the IIT in Dharwad to make the country technology strong. A lot of reforms has been brought by him including the electrification of the Hospet-Hubballi-Tinaighat railway line.

Rs 7651 crores for railway reforms

The CM said in Union Budget, Rs 7651 crores have been earmarked to  improve railway facilities in Karnataka. This is the work of the double-engine government. The BJP led NDA Government has given a lot of encouragement for the overall development of North Karnataka region. Both the state and union Governments are taking up projects in the fields of education, infrastructure and industry.

Connectivity

Bommai said the PM has done a lot to provide the connecvity from the port to inland. In total, the NDA Government has given more stress on the all-round development of North Karnataka region. So, it is progressing like never before.

Chairman of the State Legislative Council Basavaraja Horatti, Ministers Govind Karjol, C.C.Patil, V.Somanna, B.A.Basavaraj and Shankar Patil Munenkoppa and others were present.
