Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is organizing “Project Open Day - 2022” to exhibit final year students project exhibition in Dr. Prem Chandra Sagar auditorium, K.S Layout, Bangalore-78 on 24/06/2022 at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The program is being inaugurated by Mr. Shyamkrishna Kattepur, Global Vice President, ABB.
The exhibition is open for Media, all the UG & PG students, PU students, faculties of other colleges and various departments, and Public. Even during pandemic the event was conducted online and prizes were awarded.
Students will exhibit their projects in respective departments which will be evaluated by eminent experts in various Specialization of Engineering.
To motivate the students, prizes in the following categories would be awarded
1. Best Social Relevance
2. Best Innovation
3. Best Presentation
4. Best Project (Overall)
In most of the Engineering Departments various projects pertaining to sustainability were carried out which is the need of the hour. Water scarcity is now a global issue. Solar seawater desalination machine with RO & UV purifier would be a tiny solution. Robots for irrigation, supply of medicines in hospital, Virtual emergency doctor visit robot and underwater stingray robot for surveillance are few of the sophisticated projects carried out. On IoT based projects like parking system and smart health monitoring system. Also there are projects on renewable energy, new materials and waste management techniques. Projects which focus on diagnostic methods such as Heart murmur prediction based on heart sound from stethoscope using AI, Cuff less blood pressure monitoring system based on pulse transit time are important in the healthcare sector. Eye gaze communication system for differently abled person, Wearable assistive device support system for blind and visually impaired people and Hand Gesture recognition and conversion to text for deaf people. Around 2,000 students are showcasing their innovative projects in the Open day -2022.
