Noted Odissi dancer, Madhulita Mohapatra & her troupe, Nrityantar Dance Ensemble from Bengaluru, will perform on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 6 pm at National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), 49, Palace Road, Bengaluru 560052. This performance is part of the esteemed HORIZON SERIES organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on the occasion of the 72nd Foundation Day of ICCR. Madhulita Mohapatra & her troupe will also perform on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 7:50 pm at Shankaraa Foundation, Kanakapura Road (Next to Doddakallasandra Metro Station). This performance is part of the popular Dance Jathre 2022 organised by Shambhavi School of Dance.
Counted among the leading Odissi dancers of the present younger generation, Madhulita Mohapatra is rightfully applauded for her inventive choreographic skills and her adeptness to keep her audiences engaged with imaginative use of movements & space. She is a recipient of the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Odissi dance by the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi (New Delhi) and the Kempegowda Award and is an ‘A’ grade artiste of National Doordarshan (DD National) & an empanelled artiste of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). She has extensively performed in India & overseas. Her group choreographies with her Odissi dance troupe, Nrityantar Dance Ensemble, are always a visual delight. The event promises a delightful evening of enchanting Odissi dance. Where Madhulita Mohapatra will enthral viewers with clarity & precision of her dance and her deeply moving abhinaya, her Nrityantar Dance Ensemble is set to mesmerise audiences with their captivating moves, powerful imagery and seamless synchronicity.
