Women should dream big and become successful businesswoman rather than restricting themselves to small businesses, said former Chief secretary Ms K Ratnaprabha. Participating as a Chief Guest at Swakruta Charitable Trust on the occasion of International Women's Day at RVIM Auditorium on Tuesday, Ms Ratnaprabha said, "Women have made a mark in various sectors. I wish that more and more women should become entrepreneurs so that they can provide more jobs. Today is a special day as I got to know a lot about women entrepreneurs who have done great work during the Covid pandemic. When Covid pandemic had cast fear, these women entrepreneurs took a giant leap and helped a lot of people. This is truly inspirational. These women have reinforced women's power."
Recalling her nostalgic memories, Ms Ratnaprabha said that when she was deputed as AC at Bidar as her first posting, many were surprised as there were no women officials in that district then. "However, the women of Bidar district saw a new hope in me and this helped me to bring a lot of changes in the administration. Even today. I have a strong bond with those women of Bidar district. This proves the point that we should be determined to do well and bring necessary changes." Dr Purushottam Bang (Director, RVIM) said, "We are providing all the possible support for women entrepreneurs. We need to plan more programmes to encourage more and more women to become entrepreneurs."
